Body, a meeting place

In the Body, a meeting place series, I explore the expression of pure emotion, which unfolds freely on canvas or paper, where colors resonate with each other through their vibrations. This emotion is deconstructed into lines and shapes, creating a melody imbued with beauty and poetry.

Through these series Body, a meeting place, I seek to paint what is missing, to give color to the memory of lost loved ones. I question what remains of them, the expressions we can still imagine. I am attempting to create an authentic language, supported by symbols that help me communicate with others.

Wounds and trauma, for me, are part of the anatomy of Art. My methods delve into the depths of my being—my soul suffers, I am wounded, but I am alive. The abstract and instinctive movements on my canvas are like scratches, each mark leaving its trace on my work as it would upon my skin. I believe that the body is a place of encounter, a space that can develop its own language.

This encounter is my way of translating the indescribable and sharing my inner world. The body, to me, is a unity traversed by time, a beauty that links humanity to the cosmos. It is also this very body that allows us to establish a mystical connection with our environment, to feel the organic life surrounding us.
